The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program at the University of New England (UNE) invites applications for a Clinical Adjunct Faculty position to teach and evaluate students in the Occupational Therapy Interventions for Mental Health and Wellness lab on our Portland campus. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality education and clinical instruction to graduate students in the areas of adolescent and adult evaluation and treatment of mental health conditions as they impact occupational performance and engagement with a focus on hands‑on learning in lab settings.
We seek OT practitioners with expertise with adolescents and adults across various mental health practice settings, including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, community-based settings, and/or emerging areas of practice. The ideal candidate will be flexible in availability and able to commit to 1‑2 days per week during the fall semester (typically late August through mid‑December), with lab sessions running from 12:30 to 5:00 PM on our Portland campus.
Responsibilities- Deliver clinical instruction in adolescent and adult mental health lab for MSOT graduate students.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of curriculum related to adolescent and adult mental health OT practice, ensuring alignment with current practices and emerging trends in the field.
- Assess students’ clinical skills, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and professional development.
- Engage with students in a supportive, hands‑on environment to build confidence and competence in clinical practice.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) or a Bachelor’s degree in OT with a Master’s degree in another field.
- Minimum of 2‑3 years of work experience in clinical practice.
