Director, Graduate Programs in Education and Assistant Teaching Professor
The Director of Graduate Programs in Education plays a key leadership role in the successful implementation of the College of Professional Studies' vision for educational growth and innovation. In this role, the Director develops, assesses, and implements innovative graduate, certificate, and continuing education online learning initiatives aligned with the College's strategic plan. The Director is responsible for maintaining the quality of the education portfolio and providing instructional leadership to ensure an exceptional student experience and high levels of satisfaction with UNEOnline.
More specifically, the Director oversees the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program, working collaboratively with faculty, subject matter experts, dissertation advisors, and doctoral students to support academic engagement, research development, dissertation completion, and scholarly publication. The Director also partners closely with the University of New England's Office of Research and Scholarship and the Institutional Review Board to ensure all doctoral research complies with University policies and procedures.
The Director oversees all aspects of graduate, certificate, and continuing education academic operations and is responsible for strategic enrollment planning, revenue projections, and program outcomes. Working closely with the Dean and senior leadership team, the Director fosters a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence.
This is a full-time (1.0
FTE), 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant Teaching Professor rank, with an administrative appointment as Director of Graduate Programs in Education.

Responsibilities
Establish strategic priorities and identify opportunities for the education portfolio in alignment with the College's strategic plan, enrollment objectives, and revenue goals. Forecast annual enrollment and revenue goals for the education portfolio in collaboration with the CPS Dean and senior leadership team. Provide program-level data and analysis to support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial reconciliation for the education portfolio. Directly supervise Education Program faculty, subject matter experts, and CPS staff, including the Assistant Director of Graduate Programs in Education, to promote student success and satisfaction.
Provide cross-functional leadership for the education portfolio by:
Supporting program and audience development in collaboration with Business and Program Development Operations, Market Research, faculty, and subject matter experts. Assisting with student recruitment, retention, and persistence initiatives. Coordinating the development of online courses, workshops, and training modules with the Instructional Design Services team, faculty, and internal and external subject matter experts. Evaluating educational programs, courses, and learning products to ensure quality, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
