For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.
This part-time position is based in Portland, ME and involves working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
- Plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
- Support class sizes that typically range from 8 to 15 school-age patients in a small classroom setting within a behavioral health facility.
Part-time commitment of 12 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00–12:00 pm.
Location:
Portland, ME.
- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Maine teaching license
- Comfortable working with K-12 students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable transportation
