The University of Southern Maine’s Osher School of Music is seeking Part-Time Artist Faculty applicants for the upcoming academic year.
Our Fall 2026 semester begins August 31, 2026.
We are searching for part-time faculty and music instructors proficient in the following:
- Voice – Collaborative Piano, Musical Theater
Compensation for Applied Music faculty is $60/hour for undergraduate lessons, $70/hour for graduate lessons, and $60/hour for juries

Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in music or commensurate professional experience
- Outstanding qualifications as a performer and teacher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to coach voice repertoire, appropriate languages, and styles
- Ability to play rehearsals and performances
Extensive knowledge of opera, musical theater, art song, and/or other repertoire as appropriate
