TITLE:

Dedicated Building Substitute Teacher (Full Time) - Lyseth Elementary School

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lyseth Elementary is seeking a Dedicated Building Substitute for the  school year.

Duties include daily classroom functions, reviewing and implementing daily lesson plans, monitoring and supporting students in their learning, and collaborating with teacher teams around curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND

EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • [Preferred] Prior experience working with children
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
  • Schedule: Full Time, 1.0 FTE (standard 7 hour day)
  • Assignment: Temporary, not guaranteed to extend beyond the 26-27 school year
  • Wage: $28.99 per hour (this was the 25-26 rate; 26-27 rate will be higher)
  • Benefits: Eligible for ~$500* / month toward a PPS medical benefits plan, also eligible for Earned Paid Leave (EPL) as per Maine law
    • * Approx amount is based on 25-26 rate. The rates for 26-27 will be higher.
