Anticipated Grant Funded Position - 1 Year Only
South Portland School District is using the Community School model as a strategy to enhance educational outcomes through integrated systems of support. We are seeking a leader for the work at South Portland High School who will partner with school and district leaders on the development and operation of South Portland High School's community school strategy, integrating academic, health, mental health, and family support services within a single coordinated system at the building level.
This role builds and manages partnerships with community agencies, health and behavioral health providers, and municipal and nonprofit organizations, and holds responsibility for the terms, quality, and continuity of those partnerships. It addition this role may also provide direct clinical services to students. This role will be involved with site-level needs assessment, increasing attendance, family engagement, and expanded learning initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in a public school, community school, or school-based health setting.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-sector partnerships and grant-funded programs.
- Experience with clinical supervision, trauma-informed practice, and multi-tiered systems of support.
- Familiarity with the South Portland community and its service providers.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must hold LCSW Social Work certification and be in good standing with the Maine Board of Social Worker Licensure.
