A well-established (S. NH / Maine-based) provider of automated high-purity liquid process solutions for food/beverage, brewery, dairy, biotech/pharma & consumer product markets is looking for....

An Automation Engineering Manager (onsite - Portland, ME area) to manage projects involving integrating automated systems; from conception, development, implementation and process improvement, while building a high-efficiency workplace environment.

Projects range from system modifications (smaller clients) to large, complex projects (Fortune 500s)

Specific duties include:

• Overseeing Automation & Electrical Engineers performing controls integration projects that will meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Directing end-to-end Automation & Electrical Engineering ensure adequate resources to achieve project goals, milestones, deadlines & objectives.
• Helping Project Managers plan project execution; define project schedules & milestones.
• Performing performance reviews
• Resolving internal & external difficulties
• Travel:
  Will not exceed 30%. Primarily short trips (2-3 days).

Requirements

• Eng'g/Science/Tech degree plus 5+ years of Automation Management experience
• Design & implementation of process industry automation systems.
• PLC Programming (Allen-Bradley/Siemens). HMI development and planning.
• Client-interaction (develop requirements / build consensus / provide updates)
• Can take initiatives & assume responsibilities outside of normal competencies
• Compensation:
  Salary up to $140k+, discretionary bonus and standard benefits.
• No relocation assistance available

Additional positions exist for Mechanical/Electrical/Control Systems & Field Engineers.
