- Lead electrical engineering design for industrial and government facilities, including power distribution, emergency power systems, lighting, and life safety systems.
- Provide high-level technical assistance and guidance for multi-phase projects from concept through construction.
- Coordinate, review, and approve electrical design plans ensuring compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to develop drawings and specifications for architects, contractors, and building owners.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, including permit applications and construction documentation.
- Apply future-ready design strategies for energy efficiency and sustainability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design for building systems, preferably in commercial and industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in applicable codes (NEC, NFPA) and design standards.
- Proficiency in designing to Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) requirements.
- Strong project management and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with renewable energy integration and advanced power systems.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit and other design software.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $98,300 - $145,970
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
