Environmental Engineering - Project Specialist

Overview

WSP is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Engineer with 3‑5 years of engineering/consulting experience.

• Prepare environmental reports and review submittals.
• Support water and wastewater systems, including operation and maintenance.
• Develop and execute work plans, sampling and analysis plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare environmental permit applications (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA engineering evaluations).
• Review and comment on contractor submittals.
• Track subcontractor payment applications, requests for information, and change orders.
• Collaborate with design engineers to address complex environmental challenges.
• Travel to project sites; travel up to two weeks is possible.

• 3‑5 years of experience in remedial design including water treatment, soil vapor extraction, and treatment systems.
• Engineer in Training certification.
• Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience preparing engineering designs for in‑situ remediation projects.
• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
• Strong computer skills and organizational abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with the company’s policy.
