Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage project proposal development through planning, detailed site design, stormwater design, preparation of site plans, drainage studies, permit documents and specifications.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review work of engineers, technicians, and designers.
  • Manage projects, oversee, delegate tasks, and engage in design of projects.
  • Present projects to Boards and Commissions for approval.
  • Work with regulatory agencies for project approvals.
  • Prepare agreements including scope, schedule, work plan, fees, and monitor financial performance of projects.
  • Participate in career path planning and development, performance plans, mentoring, and resource sharing for supervised team members.
  • Cultivate personal business relationships and seek opportunities for cross‑selling to enhance and expand existing client relationships during and after projects.
Qualifications
  • BS in an engineering field required (Civil Engineering preferred). Advanced degree in the area of work specialization is desirable.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related industry experience required; project management experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices relating to appropriate discipline.
  • Progressive ability, capacity, and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work and to obtain cooperation from others.
  • Effective manager of people with the ability to inspire, lead, communicate, support, and mentor.
  • Sound mathematical skills required.
  • Working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Carlson HydroCAD required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong leadership potential with a desire to develop into a management position.
  • Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation required.
