Teller Supervisor - Portland and Lewiston

cPort Credit Union is currently accepting applications for a Teller Supervisor at our Riverside branch (Portland) and Lewiston branch. The Teller Supervisor oversees daily teller line operations to ensure exceptional member service, operational accuracy, and compliance with all credit union policies and regulatory requirements. This role supports, coaches, and mentors’ tellers; coordinates cash operations including vault management and serves as an escalation point for complex member and transaction issues.

The Teller Supervisor leads by example, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring the teller line functions efficiently and professionally each day.

Location: This position will be located at our Riverside branch in Portland, ME and our Lewiston, ME branch.

  • Provide daily direction, support, and coverage for the teller team, ensuring efficient workflow and professional member interactions.
  • Manage assignment of lunches.
  • Serve as the primary escalation resource for teller questions, discrepancies, and complex transactions.
  • Oversee teller adherence to policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Train and onboard new tellers and support ongoing teller development.
  • Oversee all aspects of branch cash operations, including cash ordering, shipment preparation, vault balancing, and dual-control processes.
  • Support tellers with balancing issues and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Conduct and/or authorize teller overrides.
  • Ensure daily completion of required reporting, audits, and operational checklists.
  • Model and promote high-quality member service, maintaining professionalism and accuracy in every interaction.
  • Support tellers in handling difficult member situations and ensure prompt resolution of service concerns.
  • Perform account maintenance including but not limited to opening sub accounts, processing name changes and creating/re-PIN debit cards.
Required Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of teller operations, cash handling, and credit union procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance awareness.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Teller II or Lead Teller experience.
  • Experience handling vault operations or supervisory overrides.
  • Familiarity with Symitar, ATM balancing, and credit union audit processes.
