The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs, offering a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.
The Budget Controller will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing an organization's financial resources to ensure spending aligns with strategic goals and approved budgets. They will also provide financial oversight by creating budgets, tracking expenditures, and offering data-driven insights that support effective decision-making and cost optimization.
Responsibilities- Produce a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports in support of our project planning and control initiatives
- Work closely with all functional departments; the Budget Controller plays a key role in ensuring that policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to
- Develop, implement, feed, reconcile and maintain valuable project control databases and reports for projects
- Manage and ensure the reconciliation of program controls data with financial and performance systems, coordinating with Project Managers
- Verify accuracy of all cost information, including confirmation that costs have been properly coded and allocated to the project budget
- Produce required accounting and project & program cost reports
- Produce reports on deviations, under-runs and over-runs
- Prepare forecasts and cost trend reports
- Review and evaluate trends and their impact on project costs
- Monitor project & program costs and commitment to budget and forecast, working with Investment Planning & Control on Capital Budget needs
- Maintain change control and the change order register
- Assess progress measurement and develop/update progress curves for progress reporting; responsible for EVM during all project stages
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Controlling & Supervisor Experience
- Minimum Associate degree;
Preferred Bachelor's Degree - CAPM or EVM Certificate or equivalent (under AVANGRID approval)
