TD’s Banking Associate is a front‑line banking professional who delivers TD’s brand promise at a store location. In this role the associate accurately completes everyday banking transactions, opens new accounts, and provides advice and educational support to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities- Process customer transactions (deposit, withdrawal, check cashing, debit/credit card issues, mobile and online banking) on the teller line or using the platform.
- Open and close personal deposit accounts, re‑order cards, update account information, and complete other routine account services.
- Provide consultative support and financial advice, educating customers on TD products and services.
- Identify and refer customers to appropriate internal partners or external Bank partners when advanced financial needs arise.
- Manage and prioritize self‑generated leads, partner/retail referral leads, and campaign leads, including outreach via calls, SMS, and appointment scheduling.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining lead times, resolving inquiries, and creating a positive experience for walk‑in customers.
- Adhere to all compliance, risk, and control programs, including banking regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act, and the Patriot Act.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required job‑specific, compliance‑related training.
- Operate within TD’s policies and procedures, including teller training and platform training.
- Assist in lobby leadership and first‑point‑of‑contact responsibilities for customer inquiries and resolutions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience; volunteering, education, or military service acceptable.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; concise, clear, and consistent.
- Effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, and judgment skills.
- Ability to schedule and prioritize work, work independently and within deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Notary license preferred.
- Teller experience preferred; must complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
- Availability to work operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
