The Sr Business Banking Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Saratoga Springs, NY, responsible for developing and managing relationships with small and mid-sized business clients. This role focuses on originating and servicing business loans, deposits, and treasury solutions that support clients’ growth and operating needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying prospects, conducting business development calls, analyzing financial information, structuring credit solutions, and coordinating cash management services.

The Sr Business Banking Officer will collaborate with internal partners across credit, treasury management, and retail banking to deliver integrated financial solutions. The role also includes ongoing portfolio management, monitoring risk, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, and representing NBT Bank in the local business community through networking and community involvement.

• Strong knowledge of business banking and financial services, including Finance and Financial Services expertise.
• Demonstrated experience in Small Business Lending
  , including credit analysis, loan structuring, and portfolio management.
• Proficiency in Treasury Management solutions, such as payments, liquidity, and fraud mitigation tools.
• Skill in Cash Management

• Proven business development and relationship management abilities, with a track record of meeting sales and service goals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage business owners and key stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and sound credit judgment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
