Current Maine Health employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. Must be separated from Maine Health system for 6 months to be eligible.

Summary

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor coordinates and manages pharmacy technician staff involved in medication preparation and distribution-related activities to achieve continuous and optimal patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • 1.

    Education:

    High school diploma preferred. Preference for either an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Pharmacy Technician, Certificate degree as Pharmacy Technician, or a combination of education and relevant pharmacy management experience (2-4 years).
  • 2. License/

    Certifications:

    Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician with Maine State Board of Pharmacy required.
  • 3.

    Experience:

    See "Education"
  • 4. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of technician staff.
  • 5. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with other managers/supervisors and hospital personnel.
  • 6. Technical acumen for applications relevant to pharmacy operations.
