Spectrum provides services at many of Maine’s hospitals throughout the state and in eastern New Hampshire.
POSITION SUMMARY
Leading a team of Radiology Support Assistants, provides all operational support to facilitate and coordinate workflow for the radiologists in a large, multi-specialty physician healthcare organization. Position will dedicate half their time providing accurate clinical staffing for the large sub specialty based Southern Radiology Division, making timely updates and changes to our customer facing scheduling software to ensure smooth operational staffing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs administrative support for radiology management to include; addendum request and tracking of addendum completionGenerates Radiology Support team’s weekly scheduleResponsible for daily debulk to ensure Radiologists workloads are evenly distributedOrganizes monthly Radiology Support team meetings and manages agendas and minutesServes as back up to the Radiology Scheduler positionMaintains and updates scheduling documentationApproves and performs an annual review of all Rad Support documentation with Tier II and SupervisorProvides daily guidance and education for the Radiology Support teamSupports radiologist by communicating and documenting STAT, Unexpected and Critical Finding through 1 ConnectMaintains and creates resources that support the radiologist’s workflowAssists with facilitating on-going physician scheduling, no-change requests, daily debulk needs and clinical swaps. Also provides back up support for schedulers absence.Provides back up for downtime communication to sites, Radiologist and resident in collaboration with Radiology teamInteracts with after hour vendors to ensure final reads and to troubleshoot, when necessaryCoordinates with facilities to support timely reading of patient imaging and appropriate shifting of work list or assignments to meet the site and radiologist’s expertiseProvides timely communication of system issues or other workflows that may impact the radiologist’s dayFinalizes and approves Holiday communication to sites of service, radiologists and tele-radiology services. Sends final communication to all parties and serves as point of contact for questions and concerns.Works with various sites of service PACS systems to assist radiologists with workflow, system failures, and delays in dictations, and create specialized work listsMonitors report turnaround times; reports delays to ensures final reports are generated in a timely fashionRequests prior comparison films and reports for radiologistsImports prior imaging and reports for comparison purposesCollates and requests necessary information for radiologist protocol lingPromptly facilitates physician-to-physician communication via phoneSupports the radiologists on troubleshooting IT issues by working with vendors or site IT contactsMaintain appropriate HIPAA and all Company related confidentiality standards and requirementsPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
