Lango is looking for dedicated interpreters across Maine to bridge communication gaps in schools, hospitals, courts, and social service organizations. As a Lango interpreter, you’ll enjoy a flexible schedule while providing a vital service to your local community.
As an independent contractor, you will facilitate in-person communication between English-speaking professionals and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals. While most assignments are on-site throughout Maine, occasional remote opportunities are available.
Requirements- Fluency:
Full professional proficiency in English and at least one other language. - Compliance:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check/drug screening. - Availability:
Primarily available for local, in-person travel within Maine. - Medical Readiness:
For healthcare assignments, you must provide immunization records (MMR, Varicella, COVID-19, TB, and Flu). - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
Preferred, but we are happy to train the right bilingual candidates.
