Vietnamese-English Interpreter (Independent Contractor)

Location:

Portland, ME – In-person Job Type: Contract / Freelance Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour Expected

Approximately 20 hours per week

Language Partners (Powered by Lango) is currently seeking skilled Vietnamese-English interpreters to join our growing network of professional language service providers. As an independent contractor, you'll use your bilingual skills to help bridge communication gaps in critical settings such as healthcare, education, legal, and social services.

Requirements:

• Fluency in both Vietnamese and English
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid U.S. work authorization (eligible for I-9)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Willingness to provide the following medical documentation for medical assignments:
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• Varicella (Chickenpox)
• TB Test
• COVID-19 vaccination
• Flu vaccine
• Prior professional interpreting experience or formal training preferred but not required
• Primarily available for in-person interpretation assignments in the Portland, ME area
