The Portland Peninsula & Island Parish is seeking two reliable, proactive Cathedral Maintenance Associates. One to support the morning operations of the Cathedral, and another for the evening. This part-time role is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all who enter our sacred spaces.

Responsibilities Include:

• General custodial tasks (cleaning, restocking, maintaining public areas)
• Light construction and basic handyman repairs
• Setting up spaces for activities and liturgies
• Assisting the Director of Buildings and Grounds with routine maintenance as needed
• Morning Associate:
  
  Morning set up and preparing the Cathedral for the day.
• Evening Associate:
  
  End of day clean up, as well as set up and preparing the evening activities and meetings at Cathedral

Qualifications:

• Experience in custodial work, maintenance preferred but not required
• Light construction or handyman skills
• Ability to work independently and follow a routine
• Reliability, punctuality, and respect for a church environment
• Ability to lift and move moderate loads and perform physical tasks

Schedule:

• Approximately 15–17 hours per week
• Morning Associate:
  
  Thursday–Monday, 6:00–9:00 AM
• Evening Associate:
  
  Thursday–Monday, 6:00–9:00 PM
