Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
As a member of the Development Team, the Donor Relations Manager (DRM) is responsible for working with the development staff, leadership, board members, and the community to execute a comprehensive major donor program and achieve fundraising campaign goals to support the Preble Street mission.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with a Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm schedule.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of related professional experience. Candidates should demonstrate success managing complex campaign initiatives and major donor programs, along with experience coordinating projects, meetings, and both virtual and in-person events. Strong proficiency in customer service and public relations is required.
A strong understanding of homelessness and poverty, along with a genuine commitment to the agency’s mission, is essential.
ResponsibilitiesThe DRM’s responsibilities will include:
- Manage a portfolio of current donors on behalf of the Executive Director, tracking all actions, solicitations, correspondence, meetings, acknowledgments, and stewardship activities.
- Manage prospective donor development including identification, research, evaluation, strategy development, and tracking to support major donor, campaign, and planned giving efforts.
- Conduct prospect research using Blackbaud tools and other resources to prepare briefing reports for leadership.
- Monitor pipeline activity and notify appropriate solicitors of significant donor developments; review obituaries bi-monthly to update records and facilitate follow-up.
- Coordinate with the Development team to integrate donor engagement strategies with broader fundraising and communications efforts.
- Serve as central coordinator for donor and agency events, managing logistical, financial, and personnel-related tasks for both virtual and in-person formats.
- Oversee acknowledgment processes for Executive Director portfolio and Legacy Society gifts.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of donor and prospect data; analyze progress toward fundraising goal.
This full-time (40 hours/week), salaried position offers a competitive compensation of $65,000, annualized. Generous paid time off, insurance, and retirement plan benefits include:
