Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - ENT/Pediatric/Plastic Surgery
Location
Portland, Maine
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
4x10 or 4x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with occasional weekends and overnight trauma call expected.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled RN for a busy ENT/Pediatric/Plastic surgery team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience, particularly in level 1 trauma, head and neck procedures, airway management, general pediatric surgery, oral maxillofacial surgery, and facial trauma. You will be responsible for precepting new tech students and adapting to changing procedures throughout a hectic day.
Responsibilities
- Assist in complex procedures including robotic ENT surgery, cochlear implants, free flaps, DIEP flaps, facial and hand trauma, and pediatric general cases.
- Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a safe operating environment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and ensure efficient workflow during procedures.
- Precept and mentor new staff and tech students daily.
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN in an operating room setting.
- Level 1 trauma experience is required.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
