TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. The right RN should have 1–2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examination and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physicians.
Medical Surgical Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds comfortably. Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. RNs will work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.
RequirementsBLS, 2 Years recent acute care experience
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
