Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center Operating Room with a focus on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures
- Perform scrub and/or circulating roles for procedures including PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies
- Operate and assist with robotic surgical systems (Da Vinci Xi) and equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot platforms
- Maintain 1:1 patient ratios across a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Participate in on-call responsibilities, including approximately one overnight call shift per month (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM); specialty team members (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho) may be scheduled for additional call hours per team guidelines
- Document accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience;
Level 1 Trauma Center experience required - Competency in robotic-assisted surgery (Da Vinci Xi) and GU/GYN surgical procedures
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with a 1:4 weekend rotation
- Proof of current Flu Vaccination required
- Flexibility with time-off requests; holiday time off cannot be accommodated; limited RTO will be considered
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment with a patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience in one or more specialty areas:
General Surgery, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, or Endovascular - Familiarity with Epic EMR
- Opportunity to work in a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Center Operating Room with exposure to a wide range of complex surgical specialties
