Part‑time, Night Shift – 2 × 12‑hour shifts. Weekends required.
For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign‑on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA).
Sign‑On Bonuses- 0–1 year experience – $2,000 (full time)
- 1+ year experience – $4,000 (full time)
- 0–1 year experience – $1,250 (part time)
- 1+ year experience – $2,500 (part time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part‑time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part‑time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Unit BioThis 17-bed true Medical Surgical unit (P4C) is adding clinical talent to its thriving team. The unit provides care for adult surgical patients, including joint, vascular, bariatric, minor neurological and gastrointestinal specialties. It also provides care to medical overflow. This unit is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Candidates must be focused on outstanding patient care, team communication, and a drive to excel as both an individual and a member of our organization.
The unit consists of new graduates and seasoned team members with decades of professionalism. The diversity and inclusion of experience, skillsets, and backgrounds provide continuous learning opportunities.
Position SummaryUnder the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse and according to defined policies and procedures, the CNA performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.

Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and be on the State of Maine Registry, having completed a six‑week or equivalent course. - Experience: CNA experience 0–6 months. On‑job training provided.
