Position: School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Portland, Maine

Key Qualifications and

Experience:

• Current and valid RN license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
• Ability to respond compassionately and quickly to health concerns and emergencies
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a school community
• Strong organization and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, and emergency response
• Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic health conditions
• Conduct health screenings and collaborate with staff and families on student health needs
• Maintain accurate health records and assist with health education initiatives
• Serve as a healthcare resource for students, staff, and parents
• Uphold all state and federal regulations for school health and privacy
