Travel RN - Med​/Surg - IV Therapy

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Outpatient IV Therapy/Infusion position requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification.

Job Details

• Outpatient infusion center setting (not vascular access),

• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM, no weekend or on-call requirements,

• Serves an outpatient population receiving a variety of infusion treatments,

• Patient ratio ranges from 1:7 to 1:9 depending on treatment length, type, and acuity,

• Average daily census of approximately 46 patients across 21 infusion spaces,

• Primary equipment includes IV pumps,

• EMR:
Epic,

• No floating required within the unit, though a 25-mile float policy between facilities may apply as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Maine (ME license or Compact license with ME as primary or secondary state required),

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience,

• Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required,

• Experience administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy in an outpatient infusion setting required,

• Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion, central line care, medication administration, and blood transfusions,

• Driver's License required for consideration,

• 2 professional references required for consideration,

• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility (including residents of Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate,

• Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions,

• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position,

• Any scrubs may be worn except hospital-issued scrubs,

• Use of Air Pods, laptops, and personal cell phones on the unit is prohibited,
