Description

Northern Light Mercy Hospital is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate) to join its established, successful general surgery practice in Portland, Maine
. This position will serve as the first assist for robotic general surgery cases in our Outpatient Surgical and Specialty Center (OSSC), located on the Mercy Hospital Fore River Campus.

Candidates should have first assist experience, with robotic surgery experience preferred.

  • 0.25 FTE
  • No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities

Practice in a Thriving, Well-Supported Environment:

  • 100% OR-based role serving as first assist; no rounding, ED consults, or clinic responsibilities.
  • Majority of cases utilize the da Vinci robotic system, enhancing surgical accuracy and outcomes.
  • Work alongside accomplished surgeons and an experienced NP in a department committed to maintaining high standards of surgical care.

Compensation Information:

  • $37,500 annual base salary with the ability to earn additional compensation based on quality incentives.
  • The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.
