- Portland is seekinganIBCLC to join our team. In this role you may cover core Lactation areas with specialization in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Continuing Care Nursery Lactation coverage.
The Registered Nurse
- Lactation Consultant role provides breastfeeding support and education for patients and families. This role will develop, coordinate and maintain the nursing mother support service for inpatients and outpatients and will utilize evidence based interventions that will foster optimum infant nutrition.
- Education:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred. - License/
Certifications:
Current certification as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine required. Certification by International Board of Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. - Experience:
Experience working with childbearing families or maternal health nursing required. 2500 hours of patient/client education as directed by the IBCLC required.

The pay range for this position is $40.06to $54.20 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
