Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Departure Lounge
Full-time, Day Shift
4, 12-hour shifts
NO Weekends Required
For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA):
0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,000 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
0-1 years of experience eligible for $1,250 (part-time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $2,500 (part-time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Unit BioThe Departure Lounge CNA provides clinical oversight and patient‑centered dischargesupport for discharged patients, prioritizing comfort, dignity, and service excellence. Thisrole plays a key part in hospital throughput by facilitating safe, timely, and thoughtfuldischarge experiences for patients and their families.
The Departure Lounge supports:
- Inpatient discharges
- Procedural discharges
- Emergency Department discharges
This role is vital in ensuring a positive final impression of care for patients and their families.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)Education:
Participates in continuing education relative to role as defined.
License/
Certifications:
Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and be on the State of Maine Registry, having completed a six-week or equivalent course.
Experience:
CNA experience 0-6 months. On‑the‑job training provided.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.
Compensation for part‑time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full‑time equivalent (FTE).
