Full-Time, Night-Shift

3X12-hour shifts

Weekends Required

Sign On Bonuses
  • 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,000 (full time)
  • 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
  • 0-1 years of experience eligible for $1,250 (part-time)
  • 1+ years of experience eligible for $2,500 (part-time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Unit Bio:

We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to join our newly created 40-bed medical surgical unit with a focus on patients requiring a longer length of stay.

This transitional care unit bridges the gap between various providers, services, and settings.

Our interprofessional team consists of geriatrics, nursing, providers and activities teams trying to alter the plan of care to promote engagement in art, games, and socialization to preserve the health and morale of the population.

Our nurses, patient care technicians, and CNAs exemplify analytic ability to identify patient needs, risks, and interventions. We provide excellent customer service to patients and families at their current health statesand learning abilities. As a team, we continually demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, always effectively interacting and problem-solving with other healthcare professionals, hospital administration, patients and families.

This unit invites registered nurses seeking a well-rounded, patient focused opportunity within the Maine Health system to apply.

Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant - Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience:

    Relevant experience preferred.

    Salary

    The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.

    Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
