Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Departure Lounge
Full-time, Day Shift
4, 12-hour shifts
NO Weekends Required
Unit Bio:
The Departure Lounge CNA provides clinical oversight and patient-centered discharge support for discharged patients, prioritizing comfort, dignity, and service excellence. This role plays a key part in hospital throughput by facilitating safe, timely, and thoughtful discharge experiences for patients and their families. The Departure Lounge supports:
• Inpatient discharges
• Procedural discharges
• Emergency Department discharges
This role is vital in ensuring a positive final impression of care for patients and their families.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Education:
Participates in continuing education relative to role as defined.
License/
Certifications:
Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and be on the State of Maine Registry, having completed a six-week or equivalent course.
Experience:
CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided.
