Nursing/Clinical Support

For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA):
0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

* Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible*

Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Unit Bio:
The NICU/CCN in The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital is a 51 bed level lll-lV unit. This is the largest ICU in the state of Maine. We have single rooms with state of the art equipment and work closely with all disciplines- surgical, cardiac, GI, genetics, renal, palliative care etc. We have Neonatologists and APP's covering 24/7 with a nursing staff of 150.

We have an active critical care transport team and a nurse driven PICC Team.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
-31 beds & Continuing Care Nursery - 20 Beds

Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abil
ities (KSAs):

  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience:

    One year of relevant experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role.
