Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Neuro (Travel)

Portland, ME | Acute Care

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

• Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Neuro/Ortho/Trauma unit serving neurosurgical, seizure, and traumatic injury patients
• Manage a patient population including spinal surgery, spine fractures, brain tumors, VP shunts, head bleeds, and joint replacement surgery cases
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 on nights, delivering safe and effective care in a fast-paced environment
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule

• Active RN license (or compact equivalent) valid in the state of Maine
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Neuro and/or Neurosurgery experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• No call requirements for this position

• Experience with neurosurgical patient populations including spinal surgery, brain tumors, and seizure disorders
• Familiarity with VP shunts, traumatic brain injuries, and orthopedic/trauma cases
• Demonstrated ability to work as a proactive team player with a positive, professional attitude
