American Traveler is seeking a RN
- Med/Surg Telemetry float position requiring Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital experience and prior travel or float pool experience.
- Float pool position covering Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units within a Level 1 Trauma facility
- Day shift from
- Weekend shifts will be scheduled with hours varying based on unit need
- No on-call requirements
- Float Pool position requiring floating to different units every shift, including a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
- Unit sizes vary from 15 to 40+ beds depending on assignment
- Patient ratios typically 1:4 on days (up to 1:5 when stretched) and 1:5 on nights (up to 1:6 when stretched)
- Uses Abbott Plum Pumps
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Active RN license (State of Maine or compact) required
- BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years inpatient hospital experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience in a facility of 500+ beds required
- Minimum 1 year travel or prior float pool experience required
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references required
- Provide nursing care across multiple Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units based on daily staffing needs
- Flexibility and adaptability are essential given the variable float assignments and patient populations
- Scrubs may be any clean, professional color; jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and shoes with holes (such as Crocs) are not permitted
- Cell phones, laptops, and Air Pods are prohibited for use on the unit
- Education modules will be assigned by the facility's Education Department for Day 1 onboarding
- RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
- Local candidates within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility will be considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions
- Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon consideration
