The duties of student assistants at Fraunhofer IZI are varied and range from scientific experimental work in research projects to organizational support in the laboratory.
If a team is interested in your initiative application, the specific tasks and opportunities will be discussed individually in the further application process. Your tasks may include: participation in scientific questions and experimental work support in the preparation, execution, and documentation of laboratory experiments organization and support of laboratory operations (e.g. preparation of materials and supplies for experiments, preparation of buffer solutions, material orders, inventory management, goods reception) preparation and cleaning of laboratory areas, including cleaning and disinfection support in general administrative and organizational tasks in the project environment
You bring in
- You are enrolled student, preferably in the natural sciences, engineering, or medical field or a related field of study.
- Ideally, you have already gained first experience in the scientific field or a laboratory environment through internships, summer jobs, or work-study positions; this is not a must. However, in any case, please include a short cover letter with your application in which you address your motivation for a position as a student assistant at Fraunhofer IZI. Optionally, you can also indicate if you are particularly interested in a specific research area.
