As a staff member in pre-analytics or analytics at IDEXX, you will make an important contribution to one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world. You will conduct laboratory tests that help veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires teamwork and quality, and offers opportunities for personal development.

This position is based in our night lab in Leipzig. We process submissions not only from German customers but also samples from all over Europe and are the largest IDEXX lab location worldwide. Thousands of samples are processed daily at our German locations by our trained staff, most of them in Kornwestheim.

In this role:

• Ensures the smooth flow of samples, from reception to recording to sample preparation.
• Unpacks incoming samples.
• Checks lists and certificates.
• Registers and assigns sample materials to order certificates.
• Assess the visual quality of samples and sample preparation.
• Operates laboratory equipment and performs manual laboratory activities.

• Performs manual and automatic analysis of patient samples.
• Prepares blood smears.
• Evaluates differential blood counts and urine analysis (urine status, sediment assessment) of mammals.
• You are responsible for the technical validation of patient results and documentation in the laboratory information system. A modern sample sorting and archiving system supports you in your work.

What you need to succeed:

• A completed training as MTLA / MTA / BTA/TFA or a comparable qualification.
• You work reliably and independently.
• You enjoy team spirit, commitment, and sense of responsibility.
• You like to work in a team.
• You have an interest in technical connections.
• You are willing to work on Saturdays on a regular basis.
