Meat Specialist

BJ’s Wholesale Club is a leading membership warehouse club where team members help families save by stocking shelves, solving problems, and shaping strategy.

• Receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats.
• Assist in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses.
• Provide assistance to members by answering questions and recommending products.
• Maintain all cleaning and safety standards within the meat department.
• Carry out assigned job functions and responsibilities.
• Support the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Act with honesty and integrity, leading with the member in mind to address concerns and to escalates as appropriate.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and each other.
• Work as a team to achieve goals and move with speed and agility.
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude.

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Work is frequently performed moving on hard surfaces, bending, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds and occasionally more with assistance. Work is in an indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises.

Pay range starts at $17.25 per hour. Pay is determined by non-discriminatory factors including location, education, experience, and qualifications.
