The Telematics Strategic Sales Manager is a hunter role responsible for identifying, developing, and closing opportunities that result in the sale of WEX Telematics products and services within the Enterprise Commercial & Government segments in the United States.
Responsibilities- Apply a solution‑selling approach to customized multi‑product/multi‑vendor solutions (hardware, software, services).
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities that leads to exceeding monthly quotas.
- Manage relationships with existing clients for reorders, upsells, and renewals.
- Negotiate customer contracts with support from management, finance, legal, and other teams.
- Maintain pricelists related to supplier contracts (GSA, Sourcewell, NASPO).
- Develop and maintain a large pipeline of new and existing opportunities using Salesforce.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Fuel Card, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Operations).
- Maintain a complete understanding of WEX Telematics products, services, and the financial impact of new customer acquisition.
- Manage multiple large projects and coordinate with team members from other departments to ensure project success.
- Cultivate and manage a fundamental sales pipeline through all stages of the sales process.
- 5+ years of national account and/or government agency sales experience in SaaS, preferably in Telematics or Fleet Management.
- Proficient with Google Workspace, Salesforce, and related tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 25% of the time.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
The pay for this role is performance‑driven and includes a lucrative, uncapped commission plan. Pay Range: $64,000 – $85,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, HSA, FSA, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and more.
