Kolbert Building is a well-established residential construction company, with a focus on high-performance, low-carbon new homes and renovations. Owner Dan Kolbert is a co-author of Pretty Good House: A Guide to Creating Better Homes.

Kolbert Building is hiring carpenters with a minimum of 3 years residential work experience, $28-38 hourly. Please email resume or work history including references.

• Safe and efficient operation of tools and equipment
• Accurate framing, finish trim, cabinet and built-in installs
• Understanding of building envelope and building science
• Know when to ask for help

• Arrive on time, physically/mentally alert
• Help keep materials, jobsite, and trailer stocked and organized
• Communicate clearly with crew members, trade partners, project lead
• Personal accountability and willingness to learn

• Diverse crew and supportive environment
• Fully equipped shop (available for personal use after hours)
• 18+ month work log of projects ranging from bathroom renos to new builds
