MAINTENANCE WORKER II

Expected
Schedule:
Monday thru Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
The Public Works Department is seeking a qualified applicant to join the Solid Waste team. Successful applicant must be able to work holidays and some Saturday's and when called in for winter operations.
Required
Skills & Experience:
* Demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain Solid Waste equipment including rubbish packers, recycling trucks, roll-off trucks.
* Must also have ability to operate and maintain winter equipment including dump trucks and front-end loaders as required.
* Applicants must possess good visual acuity for driving and physical strength, agility and stamina necessary to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions.
* Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and members of the public.
* Must possess valid Maine Class A or B driver's license (must provide license number).
* Must pass pre-employment medical exam and fitness assessment and pass federally mandated drug test.
* Must have and maintain good driving record.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, Labor & Trades (Grade 17-CDL) - Starting Salary Range: $26.14/hour to $28.28/hour, plus a $2.00/hour market rate stipend.
