Maine Yacht Center's systems service includes engine maintenance, alignment, repowers, rebuilds, fuel-system service, and fuel polishing. Electrical work covers AC/DC system design, installation, diagnostics, battery-bank design, charging, monitoring, inverters, and isolation transformers.

Daily work can move between diagnosis, repair planning, installation, and testing. A technician may trace a fault through an engine, a fuel system, or an electrical circuit before confirming that the repaired system operates as intended.

Maine Yacht Center requires at least five years of experience and working knowledge of diesel engines and yacht systems on power and sailing vessels up to 75 feet. The position also requires a strong work ethic, cleanliness, a positive attitude, and the ability to work as a self-starter.

The ABYC certification program requires an initial technician candidate to pass a certification exam and document two years of work experience. Certifications remain active for five years, and recertification requires another exam and webinars.
