Senior Engineer

About the Role

We’re a small, fast‑moving team building an AI platform. You'll be a builder first — shipping full‑stack features end to end across our Python backend and React frontend, working hands‑on with LLMs. You’ll have real ownership from day one, act as a strong second set of eyes in code review, and over time help us harden how we ship (CI/CD, release reliability).

This is a hands‑on keyboard role for someone who wants to build, not manage.

• Build full‑stack features across the product — Python/FastAPI services on the backend, React on the frontend.
• Design and ship LLM‑powered functionality: integrations, prompting/orchestration, evaluation, and the platform plumbing around it.
• Be a high‑trust code reviewer — raise the bar on quality, catch issues early, and help keep the review queue moving.
• Own your work end to end: scope, build, test, and ship, with strong instincts for what "done and reliable" means.
• Over time, help own CI/CD and release engineering — gated pipelines, staging, automated checks, rollback — so shipping stays safe and fast as we grow.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full‑stack ability with Python and React
  ; comfortable owning a feature from API to UI.
• Experience building with LLMs / AI products — not just calling an API, but reasoning about reliability, cost, and quality.
• High ownership and follow‑through; you ship and you finish.
• Background at an established/larger engineering org — you’ve seen mature engineering process and can bring that discipline to a small team.
• Security experience or instincts (secrets handling, access control, secure‑by‑default thinking).
• CI/CD and release engineering experience — building gated pipelines, automated deploys, staging environments, rollback.
• 2+ years of technical leadership or mentorship (tech lead, senior IC who’s grown others).
