Apex has an opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer. Here are the details:

Remote (Teams are based out of Chicago and Portland, ME)

Rate:
Negotiable based on experience

Duration: 1 year

Tech Stack (Capital One Developers in a test driven environment, so if you build it you own it... no QA teams to assist):

• JAVA (Spring-Boot), Python, and/or SCALA
• JavaScript (React, Angular, Typescript – okay with someone having any of those)
• AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)
• General Dev Ops exposure (more the better but having at least basic Jenkins expected)
• Automated testing (Cucumber, Selenium) Sonarcube, Checkmark, vulnerability scanning (whitesource), advanced pipelining

About the Team:
Trade Credit is a team at Capital One that Apex has been working with since they were acquired back in 2019. Originally known as Blue Tarp, this team from Portland, ME developed a B2B credit platform that was quite adept at handling high volume merchants (originally worked mainly with construction / agriculture industries aka a lot of purchases from many different vendors).

When capital one acquired them the goal was to utilize this platform with a couple different larger clients. Months after being acquired Capital One realized that this platform and technology that this group created could be used for a lot more, and so in 2020 they nearly doubled the technical team with our assistance. Over the past two years they have just completed their migration from GCP to AWS and also gone live with some of the biggest companies in the US (Aka walmart, wayfair, and others).

The team is now looking to expand once again as their demand in the market picks up. Currently the team is optimizing its products in AWS (with a focus on scalability) in addition to developing new features and client specific features.

Required Skills:
