You may produce memos or emails on engineering accounting questions, client billing, invoices, contracts and reconciliation of accounts. You may assist the payroll department as needed. This position includes clerical functions such as filing, copying, data entry and preparation of reports.
Responsibilities:
Review, validate, code, input and post incoming vendor invoices in Accounts Payable
Review, validate, code and check for FAR (Allowable) of employee expense reports.
Prioritize and process payments of Employee Expense, Vendor Invoice and Sub consultant bills on a weekly basis
Respond to all vendor inquiries;
Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
Maintain files/documentation thoroughly and accurately.
Work with the A/R team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash
Set up new projects, make transfers of employee billable hours and/or expenses, and open and close projects, phases and tasks in company system.
Recommend and implement agreed process improvements.
Assist with company credit card coding and employee follow-up monthly
Assist in month end closing
Annual 1099 maintenance & assist in reporting
Assist payroll as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Two years of related experience as an accounting clerk, specialist or coordinator; AP experience is a plus
Degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus
Intermediate knowledge of Excel
Experience with BST or other project based accounting software is preferred but not required.

Hourly pay rate for this position is expected to be between $27.00 and $29.00 per hour, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
