West Coast Metals is a fast-growing, Pacific Northwest leader in metals distribution. Based in Portland, Oregon, our company is a medium-sized, locally owned, wholesale distributor that is well known for excellent customer service and reliability. Our company has a demonstrated track record in the metals distribution business and has earned a reputation for integrity, quality and high service levels.

We are currently looking for an experienced person to join our passionate and competitive team. This is a great position for someone that has Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and general accounting experience. You need to possess an upbeat attitude, get along well with a variety of personalities and be ready for new challenges.

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours a week) Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $19 to $22/hour

Duties
  • Process check runs, prepare vendor checks for mailing and filing all invoices and check stubs
  • Process expense invoices
  • Reconcile vendor statements. Work with vendors on issues and payment questions
  • Verify and process freight invoices
  • Process product invoices against PO’s through an accrual system
  • Verify receiving for accuracy and work with receiving department if discrepancies
  • Process daily invoicing
  • Respond in a timely manner to all customer services inquiries
  • Scanning, filing, and maintaining paperwork
  • Assist in other department job duties and projects as needed
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Data entry skills: strong math skills; detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as a team; self-motivated
  • Proven history of being reliable and dependable
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
