Periods of growth can stretch even the strongest accounting teams. This expanding organization is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager to step in and provide steady leadership while several key initiatives move forward.

Your work will center on three major priorities: completing and stabilizing the rollout of a new ERP, supporting audit fieldwork, and strengthening accounting processes and internal controls. Along the way, you’ll help maintain the daily flow of accounting operations, managing full-cycle accounting initiatives, overseeing program revenue allocations, and supporting budget reporting.

This role works closely with conservation staff and internal teams, so clear communication and strong coordination are essential. You’ll help ensure project costs are coded correctly while keeping timelines, priorities, and deliverables moving forward.

The ideal candidate brings confidence, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to step into a complex environment and quickly add structure. You’re comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative and mission-focused team.

This three-month contract position is based onsite in NW Portland.
