Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process AP invoices daily through automated systems (including PO and non-PO invoices)

+ Perform 2-way and 3-way matching and validate supporting documentation

+ Handle payment requests, weekly freight uploads, and invoice corrections (offsets)

+ Research and resolve unpaid or blocked invoices and vendor discrepancies

+ Review vendor statements and communicate with vendors on payment status

+ Assist with weekly check runs, mailing payments, and electronic deposits

+ Support general AP functions and maintain accurate records

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred)

+ 1+ year of administrative or accounting support experience (entry-level candidates welcome)

+

Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office; ERP systems (SAP preferred)

+ Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines

+ Effective communication and ability to collaborate across teams

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
