Senior Tax Associate

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our tax practice. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys technical tax work, collaborative planning, and direct involvement in delivering high-quality service to clients.

• Provide initial tax preparation support, including information gathering, workpaper creation, data entry, and first-draft return preparation
• Review returns and selected projects prepared by Tax Associates and interns
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members
• Prepare tax projections and provide proactive tax planning recommendations
• Prepare responses to IRS and state tax notices and correspondence
• Collaborate with the advisory team on tax planning matters and client service initiatives
• Communicate with clients by phone and email and participate in client meetings as needed
• Conduct tax research and provide support on technical projects and planning matters

• 2-5 years of public accounting experience with a background in taxation
• CPA eligible or JD required;
  Master’s in taxation preferred
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and projects
• Proficiency in or ability to adapt quickly to new tax software and research tools (i.e., CCH Axcess Tax, BNA Income Tax Planner, and CCH Intelli Connect)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Willingness and desire to be part of a team

• Salary range: $85,000 – $105,000
