SR. Accountant

Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a long-term contract role to play a key part in maintaining the organization's financial integrity. This position is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

+ Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations

+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy

+ Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to leadership

+ Support budgeting and forecasting processes

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

+ Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparation

+ Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as needed

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)

+ CPA or CPA-eligible preferred

+ 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

+

Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

+ Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)

+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
