Accounting Manager

Overview

One of our favorite legal teams is growing their Accounting team. They’re in the market for an eagle-eyed and progressive-minded Accounting Manager to keep their financials in order. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll oversee a variety of processes including managing the month-end and year-end close and keeping timely and accurate financial reporting. The firm will rely on you to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity, including complex and non-routine transactions.

You’ll also oversee bank, operating, and trust account reconciliations, and mentor a couple of operational accounting team members.

This is an in-office role with flexibility for appointments and family needs.

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity, including complex transactions.
• Oversee bank, operating, and trust account reconciliations.
• Mentor and develop a small team of operational accounting staff.
• Support tax audits, tax preparation, payroll monitoring, and process improvement initiatives.

• 6+ years of progressive GL accounting experience required.
• Advanced Excel and systems proficiency.
• Experience with trust accounting highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
